About this cartoon: President-elect Donald Trump was confirmed by the Electoral College, dashing the last hopes of those who wished enough electors would defect to change the outcome. A couple did, and Trump's Electoral College win was among the lower margins of victory (and he lost the popular vote by nearly three million), but not nearly enough electors were willing to heed all the danger signs before them of an ill-tempered, vengeful, ignorant and unfit person for the presidency, despite a Hamilton-era decree that keeping unfit candidates away from the office was part of their job.
